Statement of Faith
God
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Bible
The Bible is the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
Divinity of Christ
The deity, virgin birth, miracles and sinless life of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God’s Son, born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
Creation
The Biblical account of creation in six days. As a consequence of man’s sin, the world became corrupted and death entered.
Man
The dignity of all people, created male and female in God’s image. Man became corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgement. However man can be saved from judgement through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The Cross
The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling those who repent and believe with God.
Resurrection
Jesus Christ was bodily raised from the dead, nevermore to die.
Ascension
Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father. He will return in power and glory.
Salvation
The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
The Church
The church, the body of Christ both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers — given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit’s gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel.
The Holy Spirit
In the present ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness. Baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience distinct from regeneration, His supernatural gifting and empowering of the church.
Healing
The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides for healing of the human body.
Repentance
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the atoning sacrifice of Christ.
Holiness
The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
Family
The sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman.
The Return of Christ
The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
